despite the fact that i worked most of my summer holidays, i had a good time. because i work right next to the lake, i didn’t miss out on swimming. and i took three days off and walked over pohorje, where i have never been to. and ate blackberries. and enjoyed good company, remembered the old times. but september still is a tough month for me. every year in some way starting all over again. but then again, tiny good things: morning fog to watch, traces of sweat to hide, first rays of sun and first coffee (and a possible repetion of that during the day), trying out new recipes and new projects to work on and new things to learn, experience.

i’ll be working most of the summer. but do not worry, you would probably love the workplace i have: i rent boats beside the lake Bohinj and help with booking of water activities for pac sports. i get daily exercise cycling to my work, sweating out all the frustrations and talk to interesting people. i still do find the time to have a swim and have a drink when friends come for a visit. if you are around, let me know.

in the past week i’ve been all over the place. from the seaside to alpine meadows, almost got to sweden (trip to ikea) and somewhere in between stopped at a picnic/festival. woke up with a beautiful view. good times and good people everywhere. thank you all! cheers!

finally kicked myself in the butt yesterday and made a photoshoot (don’t expect professional photos, hopefully i can do some magic in photoshop) of the book i made for my diploma. but i don’t have the cable for the camera with me and computer has some troubles reading the memory card. so for the first preview i’m giving you a photo taken with mobile. the title of the book is booknjiga – junction of words “book” and “knjiga” (meaning book in Slovenian), since we hope it will represent the work of department of textiles also outside Slovenia.

and i’m off to continue writing the theory, which is the basis in Slovenia to graduate. i was lucky to get this opportunity, because most of the students just do work in the lab, or some imaginary corporate identities. and i was involved in the making of 400 books. hurray!

i got a call yesterday: where should we put the books? hihi, didn’t get delivery as big as that … well, never. got few of my copies, the others are staying at the faculty. hopefully they will do some good. please the eye and not be just an example of “what were the Fashion students up to this year”.

i went to the printing house yesterday and saw the great heidelberg machine start printing my book. a scary feeling. i should get to hold first concrete example of my work on tuesday or wednesday morning.
